How is giving a sustaining pledge different from what I have been doing?
A Sustaining Pledge is a monthly gift that you can pay in a convenient, ongoing way. Each month, we will charge your credit or debit card or withdrawal from your checking account the amount you specify.

Your Sustaining Pledge will automatically continue unless you choose to change it.

When will the church need my pledge payment?
The church’s fiscal year runs from June 1 through May 31. Monthly pledge payments are helpful for our budgeting, but your pledge payment should be completed by May 2026. Your pledge helps us determine what our budget can be for the upcoming church year.

How do I change my sustaining pledge?
You can increase, decrease or stop your donation at any time by calling the office – 507.282.5209 – or emailing
administration@uurochmn.org

Doesn’t the budget change from year-to-year?
Yes, we typically have a budget increase each year, but it does vary each year.

How do I know the budget change?
As we create the annual budget for the next church year, we will let congregants know what the expected budget will be, including what percentage change is needed to support our growing, vibrant congregation.

Why 8% for the 2025-2026 church year?
This may seem like a larger than normal amount, and it is. We are looking at increases in health insurance and property insurance.  We are also hoping to double the hours for our Social Justice Coordinator and as well as have our Adjunct Minister here more frequently. These changes are important for increasing our capacity to care for our growing congregation as well as offer support during these unsteady times.

How do I set up my payments?
There are many ways to give to the church. For a detailed list, see our
website. Please contact Amy Nelson, Finance Coordinator, by calling the office 507.282.5209 or emailing administration@uurochmn.org.
