Frequently Asked Questions

A Sustaining Pledge is a monthly gift that you can pay in a convenient, ongoing way. Each month, we will charge your credit or debit card or withdrawal from your checking account the amount you specify.

Your Sustaining Pledge will automatically continue unless you choose to change it.

The church’s fiscal year runs from June 1 through May 31. Monthly pledge payments are helpful for our budgeting, but your pledge payment should be completed by May 31 of each church fiscal year. Your pledge helps us determine what our budget can be for the upcoming church year.

You can increase, decrease or stop your donation at any time by calling the office – 507.282.5209 – or emailing administration@uurochmn.org

Yes, we typically have a budget increase each year, but it does vary each year.

As we create the annual budget for the next church year, we will let congregants know what the expected budget will be, including what percentage change is needed to support our growing, vibrant congregation.

For the coming year, to sustain fair wages and programs and build toward additional ministry, we need a 6% increase in pledges.

If you are able to do a bit more, 8% will help us grow additional ministry like our adjunct position even more, and re-supply funds for financial support and care for members in need.

And if you have capacity for a bit more, 10% will help us save for our future to reduce debt and loans as we move toward our new building.
