Our congregation has been in the building process since 2018. On February 14, 2024, a capital campaign was launched after years of discernment and an extensive feasibility study. This campaign paved the way for our new church home at Eliza Place. Currently, this is a three-year campaign, following church calendar years (June1-May 31 2024-25, 2025-2026 and 2026-2027). Congregants are making payments periodically from a variety of sources, or through automatic monthly electronic deductions from their bank accounts.  One-time gifts, or gifts made over time, have ranged from $20 – $300,000. Final payments are expected to be received by June1, 2027. The goal of three million was exceeded.  $3,273,00 was pledged and approximately $2.35 million has been received.

Even with this generosity, to be able to afford our current building plan and to reduce the burden of debt, an additional ask for money has been made.  This additional request, the Breaking Ground Pledge, is directed to everyone. We are asking congregants who have already pledged in the Capital Campaign to make an additional gift, and to congregants who have not previously participated to make a first-time pledge. Whether additional or new, payments can also be made over time, with a fulfillment date by May 31, 2029. To add to success and jump start Breaking Ground commitments, a match of $450,000 was assured from several previous donors. $865,553.85 has been pledged thus far with over $191,000 received to date.  The goal is to meet and exceed the match.

Your gift is a practice of gratitude for generations that have made this church thrive for nearly 160 years.  It is a promise to our future and an affirmation that this church matters in the lives of our members and our community.  All gifts are welcomed and graciously received.

For any concerns that arise, to verify an existing pledge, or to make a new one, please contact Amy Nelson, Finance Coordinator at the church office.

Thank you for your ongoing financial support.
